What Happened to pure hip hop?

What happened to hip hop? It's been dead for a while and I don't ever think it would ever go back to it's proper roots. When i say proper root's i mean krs one, Rakim, kool G Rap, and others. The overall lyricism is gone, the product that is being pushed is horrible, and the motivation is out the door. Gone are the days you have to be "nice" and lyrical, all you have to have as a rap artist is a catchy beat, a good hook, and a mean shape up. I say this everyday when i wake up in the morning until the day is done that hip hop should be on toilet paper so when people go to take a dump people sh*t on it. The dj's add to the problem by only playing one type of music and playing certain amount of artist. The industry also limits what artist can do as far as what they can say or market. That's why i respect the independent rappers that are out there doing this for us rap fans. You have a couple of guys out there who are doing it on the underground level but they aren't getting pushed because the only thing the majority want's to hear is Drake, Lil Wayne, French Montana, and the one and only Waka Flaka Flame. Its a shame because hip hop is bigger than just the music itself, it's sad to see the music die down . What happened to Canibus? What happened to the old Jay Z? Why isn't Joell Ortiz blowing up yet? Why doesn't Immortal Teqchnique get the respect he deserves? Why is Drake the only rapper getting 85% of the radio play on all the major hip hop radio stations? Every body forgets Az huh? These are questions you people need to ask yourself. I hope when you read this you think about what the hip hop industry is doing to good mc's like Joell Ortiz and lyrical monsters like Canibus. All im saying is if you gave Weezy a chance give a real MC one.......drop a comment ya!! Hip Hop is gone.@gmail.com hit me up............
